Shop Fabrication

Chattanooga Boiler & Tank has been fabricating tanks and vessels for over a century. Fabricating tanks, vessels, and processing raw material occurs in our 120,000 square foot enclosed manufacturing facility, furnished with a temperature-controlled painting booth, automatic welding machines, and several overhead cranes. Our shop has the unique ability to take on large amounts of volume while maintaining our client’s critical delivery schedules.  

The shop holds an AISC certification, along with ASME “R”, “S”, and “U” code stamps. Chattanooga Boiler & Tank manufactures tanks and vessels of stainless steel, carbon steel, duplex stainless steel, nickel alloy, aluminum alloy, hastelloy, inconel and other exotic materials. The most common designs used during fabrication are in accordance with ASME, API 650, API 620, AWWA D100, ANSI B96.1, as well as customer specified design criteria.

Using advanced CAD and CNC programming technologies, our engineering staff is able to develop accurate layouts for complex components. Combined with our in-house fabrication shop's CNC programmable burning table, this allows us to produce precisely cut pieces to ensure proper fit-up and improve the quality of the finished product. Often, not only does the advanced technology of CB&T's Engineering Department and Fabrication Shop deliver a higher quality product, but it is often at a lower price point than our competitors.
